EXPLORATION

Exploring various locales allows players to find additional resources. These resources range from Necessities to Survivors. The catch to exploring is that it costs credits and it requires search power (SP). Each military unit has search power. In order for a search/exploration task to be most successful, the search power requirement for the locale should be met. In order to meet this requirement, the empire must send enough troops to cover the search power.

If the search power requirement is not met, there are good odds that the search party will fail and be attacked and/or spotted by zombies. When being spotted by zombies, a horde of flesh-hungry zombies will track your empire down and attack your outer districts. If any of these attacks break past your defense and destroys all district defenders, your district will be destroyed.

There is a very small chance that you can still fail at searching a locale, even when you fully meet the search requirements. The risk can be great, but the reward can be better.

To explore, press Explore in your empire's headquarters.

Upon accessing the Explore page, select a locale to search. Make sure you can meet the requirements of the search.

When the locale has been selected, enter the amount of troops you wish to search with. The total search power of the selected troops will be displayed. Press Search to explore the locale.
